Some Pics of the Bentley
|
||
|---|---|---|
So, here's picture of the Bentley House's main room. That little bit of floral bedspread in the right background is the room where Sadie and Harriet slept. The staircase was blocked off, which of course, left us dying to know what might be...up there. A mad wife? A portrait that had taken a beating? On Sunday, when I came by to pick up my forgotten blender, my daughter Rosy squeezed through the dowels and brought back this report: "It's neat. It's dark. There's a couch in it." Well, so much for melodrama. : ) |

This is the little dinette area of the Bentley. Those wine glasses came express from Augusta, Missouri, and each one has a little wine-colo(u)red owl on it. : ) The preserves were also a gift brought to the Soiree by our Mayor, and I'm still enjoying my jar. : )

Here's a pic of our wands, cooling their heels in a vase. To the left, you can see one of the tiaras (not sure whose). I wish we had gotten a picture of them...you would not believe how beautiful they are! I'm hoping to get my act together sufficiently over the next week to take a pic of the doll, the motorcycle, the tiara, the wine glass, and the stone I brought back as souvenirs from the Soiree, so y'all can see how kewl they are. : ) |

Ahh, the pool. It was a bit cold, but it felt really good after a long, warm Sonoma afternoon. We had a variety of mishaps trying to find a graceful way to get on the floatie, but soon learned there is no such thing as grace where inflated objects and water are concerned. : ) Well, at least nobody cracked their skulls open, which is good. A little splashing, a little ego-bruising...that was about it. : ) |
