Hawaiian Harmonic Convergence October 2000

OUR PLANS FOR THE HAWAIIAN HARMONIC CONVERGENCE OCTOBER 2000! Planning for our WWWomen global "tribal rally" continues. For those of you unfamiliar with our e-vil scheme to take over the world (and after the 6 November referendum in Australia, the Oz-Shes will be uniquely qualified to offer their expertise :), here's the deal: A whole bunch of WWWomen will be descending on Turtle Bay, Oahu, the week of October 25, to commune with our sistren, be served drinks with umbrellas in them, and chase surfer boys up and down the beach. (Or at least, think about it. : ) Cindy, Sadie, and Harriet have all kindly volunteered their time and efforts to make this possible. As of 10/17/99, Kini (Cindy), your Cruise Assistant, sez: This is how I'm seeing the line-up for the condos, give or take a few people, adjusting for personal preferences, etc. These changes have been made based on the avaliability at Turtle Bay and on the commitment of the travelers. Condo #1: 2 bedroom with 2 1/2 baths - why they need 2 1/2 baths I don't know - cost is $840 for the week or $420 per couple, plus the one time $50 cleaning charge to shared between couples Alison + 1 Condo #2 2 bedroom with loft and 2 baths - cost is $900 per week - $150 each based on occupancy of 6, plus the $50 cleaning charge to be shared. Nanny + 1 Cindy Kate Sadie Sheila (Sheila, I know I haven't asked you if you would mind sharing with *gasp* Nanny's husband, let me know if it's a problem) Condo #3 2 bedroom with loft and 2 bathrooms - cost is $900 per week - $150 each person based on occupancy of 6, plus the $50 cleaning charge. Carmel - private room x2 Harriet Mariane Laila Leonie Condo #4 2 bedroom with loft and 2 bathrooms - cost is $900 per week - $150 per person based on occupancy of 6, plus the $50 cleaning charge. Thrisha - private room x2 Becky Ione Actually, the condo lists can be arranged by preference. I penciled these lists together to get an idea of what we need. Sadie has suggested and I agree it would be fun to switch mid-week to share with the others. Susan, Debra and Sylvia have regretfully bowed out but they will stay on the list as possibles. We will reserve these units this week, probably call with the reservations on Thursday. Any comments need to be returned in the next few days. PS Please note that the individual rates were based on occupancy of 6 (in the larger condos). I have realized that I've rather arbitrarily done that and as a result, the two ladies who have requested a private room will pay double. Any problems with this, anyone? Aloha! Harriet sez: I just got off the phone with the leasing agent. We have, as of this moment, four condo's reserved: one 3-bedroom unit for our three couples (Leonie, Jean and Alison and their spouses), and three 2-bedroom with loft units. With Thrisha and Carmel taking private rooms, the three units will then accommodate 14 additional single women. The leasing agent is trying to provide as many twin beds as possible. The cost for the 2-bedroom with loft units is $150 per night, and for the 3-bedroom unit, $160 per night. That rate reflects a 20% discount off their regular rate since we have reserved four units. If we don't have enough participants to use four units, the rate will be 20% higher. She said she would work with us on finding accommodations for those of us whose S/O's are coming later. The leasing agent would not accept my credit card since they are giving us the discount, and they would lose another 4% to the credit card company. She wants a persoanl check. I will go ahead and send it, but you will need to get your share to me ASAP.
