Many glasses of wine later, not to mention a fabulous four course meal, amazing echidna chocolates (that's echidna shaped, not flavoured), the no hands tim tam slam performed by Alex, Plax and me (the rest of those wimps claimed to be too full!), Alison and I were relieved we were staying the night and didn't have to drive anywhere. I bet Alison ws rather pleased she decided not to fly down and back in the one evening too!

Currently it's Sunday morning here, and we are waiting for the muffins to cook. We are minus Plaxy this morning, who had an appointment with dog training at 9am, and Julianne who expected to still be asleep at this time of day, but plus Ben (14) and Claire (around 2) who arrived with Alex and are enchanting. The sun has almost made it out from the clouds and the fog's all burned off, (in fact as I write, looking out at Leonie's beautiful yard, the sun is just beginng to brighten the room) so we might eat out on he deck. Then again, it is Canberra in winter, so maybe not...

Ah the muffins smell close to cooked, I'd better go and check...
