AlexChapter 17pm: arrive; last as usual feel overwhelmed to meet everyone. Lots of wine everywhere and a beautiful flower arrangement in the middle of the table with a lovely message from Mariane. Non-stop talk with a number of conversations going at once.7.30pm: Alison's husband rings - oops 7.40pm: A toast to absent friends and new ones 8pm: lots of photos, beautiful food, fantastic conversation and great cameraderie. (great echidnas Carmel!!!) THANKS HEAPS FOR THE T-SHIRTS!!!!!
Chapter 2Its taken a few days to sit back and think about our 'tribal rally'. Like everyone it was a tremendous feeling to be together and chatting and appreciating each other for the ordinary and extaordinary.(great words cindy) It was fun to put faces to names. Julieanne looked nothing like i pictured her - Julieanne i thought you would be really matronly with lots of grey hair and glasses driving a laser :-)!!! If only we could have a picture of the Kingswood. (thats a *real* australian car that Carmel and i were so kindly chaufferred home in) It was also fun doing the photos - can't wait to see what y'all guess for us - we tried to be really serious for you all but not sure we managed it- having way too much fun; not to mention the red wine; has anyone mentioned the red wine? Alison brought Max her beautiful teddy bear and Clare tried to snitch him on the Saturday; poor Alison, how do you reason with a nearly 2 year old? Max was important too - the Sydney navigator no less. It's also interesting to reflect on Carmel's comments about axe murderers. there was no way i was ever going to let anyone know my name on the net let alone meet face to face - what if all those rumours were true:-). but now its opened up relationships with some wonderful people and i'm learning so much more about the world and other points of views. Hell, Carmel might even get me leaning left if i keep reading her posts. This site and our rallies had a real sense of supportiveness - thank you everyone. Anyway cindy unfortunately we are back at work and boy is it mundane compared to the weekend... must stop or this'll be an
essay..
