Becoming Fit
Now that you have made the committment to reduce that body fat and increase your strength and endurance it is a good idea to have a complete fitness evalutation done. Find a Medically Based Fitness Center, or a reputable Personal Training Center. The evaluation will consist of a cardiovascular endurance test, usually on a bike, then a flexability, strength test girth measurements will be done and a body composition evaluation. This information will help in setting a exercise program with realistic goals. Having a personal trainer can help if you need that extra motivation and guidance. IF you can do it on your own after the program is set for you that is good. There are several questions you want to ask before hiring a trainer. Don't hesitate to have your list in hand. A good trainer will want to tell you about his/her experience and certifications and give you a list of references. Having a written contract is a very good idea. This way there is no misunderstanding and you have your days and time set especially for you. If you need further help in finding a qualified trainer the two national organizations that certify trainers will have a list of trainers in your area. They are AFAA and ACE.Email me and I will be glad to get that info to you. Here is to your healthy and happiness.Donna
